TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LAND.

TOPIC: TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LAND.

TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 1:1-18
KEY VERSE: "See, I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers- to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob- and to their descendants after them." (Vs. 8)

SUMMARY
God has called his people to take possession of the land he had promised on oath to their fathers, they only needed to believe, live up to God's expectations and possess the land, this is their calling and heritage as Children of God, not following the example of their fathers who were destroyed for their lack of trust and faith in God. Moses reminded them of this as he choose leaders among them who were wise, full of understanding and well respected to help him in leadership role.

APPLICATION
God has given us all things pertaining to life and godliness, all we need to access them is our absolute faith and trust in his love and faithfulness to bring to pass all that he had promised. Unlike the old testament believers,we are called to possess spiritual lands for our God- the heart of men for Christ, we are to bring every heart to receive and submit to the saving grace of God in Christ Jesus.
PRAYER: Lord, you have given me everything, help me to live up to your calling in Jesus' Name, Amen.
