TOPIC: PRIESTS AND PROPHETS.

TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 18: 1- 22.

KEY VERSE: "I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. (Vs. 18)

SUMMARY

God established two kinds of spiritual leaders to shepherd his people: Priests and Prophets. The whole tribe of Levi and the descendants of Aaron were set aside to serve God. The Lord was their inheritance. Sinful men must come to God in God's way, through the blood proclaimed by the Priest. Those who proclaim repentance and forgiveness through Jesus' blood are a priestly nation. A true Prophet of God is one who speaks God's word, not his own messages and ideas. God's promise to raise up a prophet like Moses is fulfilled in Jesus, Acts 3:21-26. God's people must listen only to true Prophet of God.

APPLICATION

As God's holy people we must listen to his word with great determination to live by it and teach same to others so that our God can be pleased with us and release his blessings on us and all that belongs to us.

PRAYER: Lord, you are my inheritance. I come through the blood of Jesus. Help me to teach your word truly in Jesus' Name, Amen.
