TEXT: PROVERBS 6:1-11.
KEY VERSE:
"Go- to the point of exhaustion- and give your neighbour no rest! (Vs. 3b)
SUMMARY
To be a debtor is as serious as for a gazelle to be trapped by the hunter. We must quickly free ourselves from all forms of debts by all godly means, such as working hard till we pay back all debts. Debt is compared to sins. Sin is serious because it leads to eternal destruction, we must go quickly to Jesus who alone can solve all our debt problems.
The wise teachers the sluggard to go to the ants and learn from its ways. The ants store its provision in summer and gather its food at harvest, though it had no commander, no overseer or ruler, but a sluggard says, "I will do it tomorrow," then poverty will surely come like a thief. A good soldier of the Cross of Christ (gospel worker) is prepared in season and out of season to gather in Spiritual harvest, 2 Timothy 4:2.
